- What happens to my money?
Our investments are made in association with Barclays bank. Each individual who pre books our service has the money for their funeral invested on their behalf into a fund managed by Barclays. Barclays will not release the money for the funeral until we have proof of the deceased. As you have seen we are a 'no frills' service and we will offer this throughout mainland UK. In certain isolated locations we may engage the services of a local funeral director and No Frills Funerals will pay all costs within our terms and conditions i.e. 'no frills'. - Will I have to pay anything extra?
There will be nothing further to pay unless there are changes in the law which forces additional charges.
- What happens when death occurs?
Your next of kin or nominated representative should contact No Frills Funerals by email or telephone. Our representative will contact them within one day. Your next of kin or nominated representative will be required to complete the cremation request form on our website, the address will be sent to them via email. Our bond certificate will guarantee that our company will provide a 'no frills' Cremation Only Funeral.
- What is a 'No Frills' funeral?
This is where your cremation will take place for absolute minimum cost covering Doctor's fees, casket, transportation within the mainland U.K. and cremation fees. Please remember, this is a basic No FrillS Funeral.
- How will my body be prepared?
No Frills Funerals is an efficient and swift service. The need for embalming and other necessities required for more formal services is simply not required. Your body will be respectfully enclosed within a sterile wrap by our fully trained personnel.
- When will I receive my Bond?
Once you have engaged our services and we've received payment via our secure online payment services this highly important and legal document will be sent to you via the postal service. This Bond guarantees our commitment and service to you.
- What if I lose my Bond?
Simply email No Frills Funerals and we will confirm your registration certificate and issue you with a new Bond for your Cremation Only Funeral Plan. This will incur a cost of £60 to cover the necessary administration costs, so please keep your Bond safe.
- What if Death occurs and the Bond is not found?
Your nominee or representative should simply email No Frills Funerals as outlined in our terms and conditions and we will reissue a bond under the guidelines of our terms and conditions. At the same we will acknowledge your passing and our representative will make the necessary arrangements.
- Can my Cremation Only Funeral Plan be altered or cancelled?
Yes, but there will be a cancellation charge of £300.00 - this is to cover all administration costs incurred.
- What does a no-frills coffin actually look like?
It is foil lined of wooden appearance, here is an example of the coffin closed and the coffin open.
- What kind of vehicle will the deceased be transported in?
The deceased will be transported with great dignity in an appropriate vehicle.
